TORONTO, May 28, 2014 /CNW/ - This June, Corus Entertainment's W Network presents a two-episode sample of #RippleEffect. The online experiment, from renowned U.K. Producer Tony Wood (Hollyoaks, The Only Way Is Essex, Geordie Shore, Coronation Street), follows a group of fascinating and relatable Toronto-based women of varying ages and backgrounds, who have agreed to let viewers into their lives like never before.
Each episode is unscripted and filmed in real-time following each woman separately up until the episode goes online. Responsive and truly interactive, the series is designed to enable viewers to interact directly with the women on social media with the intention of affecting the course of events in the next episode. The women's stories will expand as they draw in those around them, creating a ripple effect that will flourish with the non-stop conversation on social media, bringing the audience right into the heart of the series.
The first episode will debut online at WNetwork.com on Wednesday, June 4 at 8 p.m. ET and viewers will be encouraged to join the conversation on social media using #RippleEffect. The second episode, inspired and affected by the first episode viewing and the social conversation, begins filming the very next day before being posted online on Monday, June 9 at 8 p.m. ET. #RippleEffect will feature social media updates by the core cast, allowing viewers to follow and interact with every aspect of the show and the women's lives.
Viewers can visit W Network's YouTube Channel, to join the online chat with host, Amber Mac and Josie Dye (Oh So Cosmo, 102.1 the edge), after the first episode premieres (at approximately 8:15 p.m. ET) for a deeper discussion and reactions to #RippleEffect.
