VHMA "Championing The Challenge" Conference Puts Focus On Thriving In A Challenging Economy

VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Sept. 10, 2012 /CNW/ - Veterinary hospitals, administrators and owners are invited to tackle their greatest challenges and emerge victorious when the Veterinary Hospital Managers Association (VHMA) holds its Annual Conference "Championing the Challenge" in Vancouver, British Columbia, at the Renaissance Vancouver Harbourside Hotel. "Championing the Challenge" will equip participants with the knowledge they need to transform the efficiency, profitability and marketability of their practice using strategies they can immediately implement. Networking opportunities will offer additional opportunities for attendees to gain insight from colleagues and more experienced managers. The conference offers 15.5 continuing-education credits, 16.5 for CVPMs.

The Best Source for Timely Topics

Attending VHMA's Annual Conference makes good sense for practice owners, administrators and practice managers. With a meeting agenda that addresses the industry's hottest topics, participants will gain essential skills and strategies that they can apply immediately.

Participants will learn how to:

  • turn destructive tension into productive action
  • thrive in an interruption-driven environment
  • manage and master multiple reporting requirements
  • set priorities and delegate the workload
  • improve communications

Attendees will gain new insights into how to strengthen the owner-manager relationship, make strategic technology decisions and get a jump on the top 10 consumer trends and their impact on veterinary practices.

Roundtable discussions are a key component of the learning experience. This informal educational format allows for extended discussion among a small cohort of professional colleagues, encouraging targeted feedback and in-depth dialogue about similar interests.

Scheduled networking events will add another dimension of expertise to professional development. VHMA meetings are always structured to allow attendees adequate time to engage in collaborative dialogue with others in the profession.

Another Reason to Attend!

On Oct. 18, 2012, before the conference's registration opens, VHMA's one-day Legal Symposium – "Hiring, Firing & the Law" – will be held at the same location. The symposium will explore the legal issues related to hiring and termination procedures. Legal experts from the United States and Canada will focus on the legal ramifications of employment contracts and termination procedures and applicable laws governing these issues.
