TVO's Steve Paikin to be Awarded the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Medal

TORONTO, June 18, 2012 /CNW/ - Steve Paikin, anchor and senior editor of TVO's flagship current affairs program, The Agenda with Steve Paikin, will be awarded the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Medal tonight by the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario. The medals were established to commemorate the 60th anniversary of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II's accession to the throne, and are presented to celebrate the significant achievements and contributions Canadians have made to their country.

Steve Paikin is one of the country's most respected journalists, a reputation he has earned over nearly 30 years in journalism. Steve is best known for providing in-depth analysis and thoughtful debate on the big issues facing Ontario through his work on the program bearing his name, The Agenda with Steve Paikin.

Steve and the top-notch team of journalists at The Agenda with Steve Paikin have helped to elevate the level of conversation in Ontario about the issues that matter to its citizens. From politics, to religion and culture, science and technology, the economy, the environment and more, no topic is too complex and each subject is thoroughly explored and debated.
