TORONTO, Nov. 1, 2013 /CNW/ - Toronto Hydro-Electric System Limited
(Toronto Hydro) is now reporting approximately 3,500 customers without
power in various locations throughout the city.
Additional customer service representatives have been added to assist
with 'power out' calls. Calls are at 400 per cent over normal volumes.
Based on the current volume the average time for crews to arrive onsite
is two hours. Construction crews have been reassigned from their
regular work to respond to outages.
Current restoration time for all calls is six hours.
Toronto Hydro continues to ask the public to stay clear of all downed
wires and to report them at 416.542.8000.
