GATINEAU, QC, Feb. 2, 2012 /CNW/ - The Transportation Safety Board of
Canada (TSB) today released its investigation report (A10O0089) into
the risk of collision that occurred in May 2010, at the Billy Bishop
Toronto City Airport.

Porter Airlines Inc. Flight 406 was on an instrument flight rules (IFR)
flight to the Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport. Southeast of the
airport, the flight was cleared for a visual approach to Runway 08.
Another Porter Airlines Inc. flight, Flight 249, was departing Runway
08 on an IFR flight eastbound with a clearance to depart under visual
flight rules. At approximately 0839 Eastern Daylight Time, about 6
nautical miles southeast of the airport, both aircraft responded to
resolution advisories from their respective traffic collision-avoidance
systems. The aircraft crossed paths separated by approximately 300 feet
