Charest, his wife Michèle Dionne, and his family wish to express their
deepest condolences to the wife of Paul Desmarais Sr., Jacqueline
Desmarais, and her family.
"An influential figure in the Québec and Canadian business community,
Mr. Desmarais was a model and an inspiration for several generations of

society and he left an exceptional legacy to his community,

Mr. Charest learned of Mr. Desmarais' death while travelling to Hong
