Western Union Teams Up with QHASUQ to Help Build a School in Duverger as
Part of the Company's Education for Better Initiative
MONTREAL, July 10, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - Starting in July, people in
Quebec who send money to Haiti are also helping to build a school in
Haiti. For every qualifying consumer-to-consumer Western Union® Money TransferSM transaction sent from Laurentian Bank, Insta Chèques, and Super C
locations in the province of Quebec to Haiti from July 1 through Sept.
30, 2013, Western Union will make a donation to QHASUQ, a Quebec-based Haitian non-profit organization, to help build a school
in the village Duverger.
This initiative is part of the Western Union Education for Better initiative, a three-year commitment to grow young minds and help meet
global education goals.

During the three-month period, Western Union will donate 50 cents to
QHASUQ for every qualifying consumer-to-consumer Western Union Money
Transfer transaction sent from participating Agent locations in Quebec
to Haiti, up to a maximum of US$20,000. More than 260 Banque
Laurentienne, Insta Chèques, and Super C Agent locations are
participating in this initiative.

Located in the mountains outside of Miragoâne, the village of Duverger
is isolated and difficult to access. There aren't any schools easily
accessible nearby. The new primary school, once completed will have
eight classrooms, an administration building with offices, a toilet
block, a kitchen, and a playground and will welcome around 200
