Trees offered are 1,75m and over. Applicable for Montreal residents only, and for trees planted on private properties in one of the City's 19 boroughs.
"FIHOQ – la Fédération interdisciplinaire de l'horticulture ornementale du Québec joins with SOVERDI on this exceptional offer. Our gardeners love trees: they are more than happy to share their knowledge with new clients", said Luce Daigneault, Executive Director of FIHOQ.
"Montréal Garden Centres join the campaing to plant new trees intown. The project of planting 300,000 trees till 2022 is moving ahead, already supported by 40 local and regional non profit organizations gathered in the Alliance Forêt urbaine", has stated Malin Anagrius, CEO of SOVERDI .
Financial support is awarded by the City of Montréal within the Canopy Action Plan project, a collective endeavour for a healthy urban forest.
Since 1992, SOVERDI is planting thousands of trees each year, in schoolyards, hospitals, sites, industrial grounds. The organization coordinates planting on private and institutional grounds on Montréal Island. In order to realize the Canopy Action Plan, SOVERDI has created l'Alliance Forêt urbaine.
FIHOQ represents 10 professional associations of Québec's ornamental horticulture industry: production, including nursery growers, retail, including garden centres and services, including landscapers, landscape architects and arborists. Its promotional campaign "Mettez du jardin dans votre vie" reaches a large public.
