TORONTO, July 26, 2012 /CNW/ - NLT is proud to introduce their
second-generation all-in-one camp lamp, the Genesis. Building on the
success of the award-winning Polaris, the Genesis design includes the
ability to integrate tracking tags while keeping the battery and light
source in a single enclosure.
Mine operators can choose from a number of standard RFID or Wi-Fi Tags,
which can now be powered by the Genesis high capacity battery. Using
the same contemporary design of the Polaris lamp, the Genesis maintains
the superior light pattern that's consistent with all NLT lamps,
providing a perfectly focused spot.
"We are thrilled to have built upon the technological advancement of the
Polaris," says NLT President, Heidi Levitt. "We are especially excited
about the Genesis launch because it is a bridge between our two
business groups: NLT Cap Lamp Systems, and NLT Mining Networks."
NLT brings over 25 years of game-changing and trailblazing technology to
the cap lamp world - the first dry cell battery pack with
smart-charging technology; the first to incorporate NiMH technology;
the first two-way text messaging in a cap lamp; the first MSHA approved
all-in-one - and now, the Genesis.
"The Genesis is currently being field-tested and will be available in
October 2012," continues Levitt. "We are also excited to announce that
an intrinsically safe (IS) version approved for use in coal mines is
also pending. Look for this and other exciting news from NLT in the
