Business Communicators (IABC) announced the incoming members of the
2013-2014 IABC International Executive Board, which include Sharon
Hunter, a Montréal-based communication consultant.
"It's a great honour to serve on IABC's international executive board
and as a trustee of the IABC Foundation," said Hunter. "I will be
joining a remarkable group of professionals who are committed to
guiding our association through its next phase of development. Having
served on the board of IABC/Montreal, the largest bilingual chapter in
the world, and as its president for the past two years, I will bring a
new perspective as a liaison for taskforces committed to global chapter
Hunter is a marketing communication consultant with more than 20 years
of experience and serves an international clientele with a focus on B2B
services and training. She currently manages internal communication
and brand alignment across student services at Concordia University,
A career volunteer and committed mentor, Hunter leveraged her IABC
leadership role to foster community partnerships and deliver bilingual
communication skills training to Montréal university students. She
served as director of the award-winning IABC/Montreal chapter in 2010
and as chapter president from 2011 to 2013, when she was named IABC
Chapter Leader of the Year.
