Montréal communication consultant, Sharon Hunter, appointed to the 2013-2014 IABC International Executive Board

MONTREAL, July 9, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - The International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) announced the incoming members of the 2013-2014 IABC International Executive Board, which include Sharon Hunter, a Montréal-based communication consultant.

"It's a great honour to serve on IABC's international executive board and as a trustee of the IABC Foundation," said Hunter. "I will be joining a remarkable group of professionals who are committed to guiding our association through its next phase of development.   Having served on the board of IABC/Montreal, the largest bilingual chapter in the world, and as its president for the past two years, I will bring a new perspective as a liaison for taskforces committed to global chapter support."

Hunter is a marketing communication consultant with more than 20 years of experience and serves an international clientele with a focus on B2B services and training.  She currently manages internal communication and brand alignment across student services at Concordia University, Montreal.

A career volunteer and committed mentor, Hunter leveraged her IABC leadership role to foster community partnerships and deliver bilingual communication skills training to Montréal university students.  She served as director of the award-winning IABC/Montreal chapter in 2010 and as chapter president from 2011 to 2013, when she was named IABC Chapter Leader of the Year.
