TORONTO, Feb. 7, 2012 /CNW/ - Monday night was a ratings hit for Global as its primetime lineup soared. Hawaii Five-0 won its timeslot nationally (2+) with more than 1.7 million viewers, beating out the series premiere of Smash (1.4 million) on CTV by 27%. The performance of Global's popular drama was so strong that it also won its timeslot nationally in the Adults 18-49 demo, and owned the hour in all four key metered markets (2+, Adults 18-49).

Keeping up the momentum since its midseason return, perennial favourite House kicked off the night for Global with an impressive 1.7 million viewers (2+) at 8pm.

And, in the 9pm timeslot, the unstoppable NCIS celebrated its 200th episode with 1.5 million viewers (2+) tuning in nationally to catch the pre-released episode.
