Enforcement Notice Hearing - IN THE MATTER OF Robert Justin Ahrens - Penalty Hearing

VANCOUVER, May 22, 2014 /CNW/ - A penalty hearing has been scheduled before a Hearing Panel of the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada (IIROC) in the matter of Robert Justin Ahrens.

The Hearing Panel will consider the penalty to be imposed as a result of their decision dated March 17, 2014, which found that Mr. Ahrens failed to adequately supervise Registered Representative Doreen Lowe.  The Hearing Panel's liability decision is available at:

The penalty hearing is open to the public, unless the Hearing Panel orders otherwise. The decision of the Hearing Panel will be made available at www.iiroc.ca

IIROC formally initiated the investigation into Mr. Ahrens' conduct in April 2010. The conduct occurred when Mr. Ahrens was a Branch Manager at Research Capital Corporation, now Mackie Research Capital, an IIROC-regulated firm. Mr. Ahrens is currently a registrant with TD Waterhouse Canada Inc., an IIROC-regulated firm.
