TORONTO, Jan. 11, 2012 /CNW/ - Only one week remains for reporters,
editors and producers to enter their top stories in the Registered
Nurses' Association of Ontario's (RNAO) annual Awards for Excellence in
The annual competition recognizes outstanding journalism that
contributes to a better understanding of nurses and the challenges of
working in today's health-care system.
Last year, judges reviewed entries from a number of print, radio and
television outlets, including The Globe and Mail, CBC Radio's The Current, Global Television, and CTV News.
Stories will be judged on content, writing, creativity, and the impact
on people and the community in which they live.
Entries must have been published in Ontario newspapers, magazines, or
broadcast on radio or television during 2011. Winners will receive
their awards in April at the President's Banquet held during RNAO's
Annual General Meeting.

Submissions must be received at RNAO's head office in Toronto no later than January 18, 2012 at 4:30 p.m. Only one entry per person/per category will be accepted.
