Record-breaking development raises ground floor to be above the June
CALGARY, Oct. 31, 2013 /CNW/ - THE RIVER, Calgary's record breaking
luxury residential development has incorporated new design enhancements
in response to the recent floods.
The ground floor has been raised by just over two feet, to be above the
highest watermark recorded at the site during the June floods,
providing enhanced protection against the impacts of possible future
flooding. This was a significant undertaking as construction of the
underground parking for the project was already underway. THE RIVER
team worked closely with The City of Calgary, Dialog Architects and
other consultants to design and implement flood mitigation measures.

By elevating our ground floor, our main level homes are now located
above the highest water level recorded at the site during the June
