MONTREAL, June 30, 2014 /CNW Telbec/ - The Quartier de l'innovation de Montréal (QI) is proud to announce the appointment of Damien Silès as Executive Director. Mr. Silès, who is currently serving as General Manager of the Société de développement social de Ville-Marie, will take up his duties with the QI on July 16, 2014.
"We are delighted to welcome Mr. Silès, who has enjoyed an excellent reputation in the Montreal community for many years, notably in the field of social innovation," said Jean Pierre Desrosiers, Chair of the Board. "Mr. Silès is known for his high-performance, innovative management style and his ability to bring people together. About Damien Silès
With a solid educational background in international trade, Damien Silès founded the Société de développement social de Ville-Marie in 2008 and has since served as its General Manager. From 2002 to 2008, he served as membership and sales director for the Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal. Twice named Personnalité de la semaine by La Presse-Radio-Canada (in 2011 and 2013), he was a finalist in the Prix Personnalité Arts-Affaires in 2012. He worked in South America for several years, notably for an Ecuadorian foundation, where he developed national and international markets for local artisans.
