Paramedicride.ca

Almost 100 Canadian and American Paramedics are riding bicycles from Toronto to Ottawa over 4 days to honour the 38 Canadian Paramedics killed in the line of duty since 1988, to raise funds to build a Paramedic Line of Duty Death monument in Ottawa and this year to raise awareness of the issue of PTSD in First Responders as, 20 Canadian First Responders have committed suicide since April of this year.

There will be a formal ceremony with MPP Cheri Di Novo, Toronto City Councillor Kristyn Wong-Tam, Toronto EMS Chief Paul Raftis and various other politicians and EMS dignitaries.

The ceremony will culminate with the riders leaving Dundas Square and cycling through Toronto with an escort of EMS vehicles from several GTA EMS services and a full Toronto police escort.

This is going to be an incredible and important event to honour Canadian Paramedics.
