Canada Economic Development has renewed its financial support for the
association, in the form of a non-repayable contribution of $1,582,000
under the Québec Economic Development Program (QEDP).
"This funding will enable STIQ to continue its targeted actions with
SMEs as well as larger firms in the Québec manufacturing industry, and
in so doing fulfil its mission of improving supply-chain efficiency,"
said Normand Voyer, Executive Vice-President, STIQ.
Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Infrastructure, Communities and
Intergovernmental Affairs and Minister of the Economic Development
Agency of Canada for the Regions of Québec, made the announcement in
person this morning as part of an event dedicated to Québec

that is very active within the STIQ network, to explain the recent
realignment of its business strategy, which has enabled it to improve
productivity and position itself favourably with various major prime
