TORONTO, Sept. 9, 2014 /CNW/ - Baanto International Ltd. (Baanto), a leading Canadian manufacturer of touchscreen and position-sensing technologies and products, has unveiled technology that is poised to revolutionize the entertainment industry. The Toronto-based company recently rolled out a massive interactive digital wall for CTV's ETALK, showcasing the power of Baanto's world-class Shadowsense™ touchscreen technology.
Debuting on Thursday, Sept. 4 — and appearing on each broadcast until Friday, Sept. 12 — ETALK unveiled its "ETALK Star Screen powered by Baanto," with the 110-inch interactive video wall changing the way Canada's highest-rated entertainment news show presents its nightly festival coverage. The massive interactive wall puts the control room in front of the camera, allowing anchors Ben Mulroney and Tanya Kim and the rest of the ETALK team to manipulate the show's action with a touch of a finger.
"We're thrilled to be bringing this interactive technology into our studio," says ETALK Director of Production/Executive Producer Morley Nirenberg. "Viewers will need to tune in to see the future of entertainment television and how we creatively flip from celebrity sightings, to on-location feeds and red carpet fashions, to showcasing the social media chatter — all on one dynamic environment."
"Touchscreen technology is penetrating every aspect of business and entertainment, and this Canadian-made technology is really evolving the world's touchscreen industry because it offers a better and more cost-effective solution to any option of its size currently on the market," says Av Utukuri, CTO and founder of Toronto-based Baanto. "This is just the beginning of what we can and will do. Marketers are sure to have a lot of fun with this touchscreen product."
Baanto provided the interactive hardware solutions for each initiative. The software for the ETALK initiative was developed by sister company Nytric Interactive.
