Decisive Dividend Corporation Announces Chief Operating Officer Transition and Provides Tariff Impact Update

KELOWNA, BC, Sept. 23, 2026 /CNW/ -- Decisive Dividend Corporation (TSX-V: DE) (the "Corporation" or "Decisive") announced today the promotion of Mark Bureigh, a top-performing subsidiary president, to the role of Chief Operating Officer of the Corporation.

Mark Burleigh joined Northside Industries as President a year prior to its acquisition by Decisive in August 2019. During his tenure as President, Mark led Northside through a complex post-acquisition phase where results were challenged, transforming it into one of the highest-performing businesses in the portfolio. The appointment to COO builds on Mark's experience leading a Decisive subsidiary and his established working relationships across the Decisive group. As COO, Mark will serve as a senior operating resource working closely with subsidiary leaders to improve returns, scale operations and foster collaboration amongst the business units. 

Mark will continue as president of Northside until his successor is appointed.

Operational and Tariff Update

As ongoing concerns around the trade environment for Canadian manufacturing businesses has been re-emphasized with recent news, we wanted to provide an update on the impact to Decisive and its subsidiaries.  As previously disclosed, Decisive's 2026 results have not been significantly affected by United States trade policy or tariffs. While trade policy has certainly had an impact on demand dynamics in certain businesses, namely Hawk and Northside as previously disclosed, the overall impact of direct tariff costs in 2026 has not been significant.  

• Section 232 steel and aluminum tariffs have had the biggest impact on Decisive's businesses, most notably Blaze King, particularly following the increase to 50% tariff rates from 25% previously in the spring of 2026. Blaze King has implemented price increases to help mitigate the impact of these steel and aluminum tariffs.
• Refunds from IEEPA tariffs paid through 2025 have to-date in 2026 largely offset these tariff costs.
• The Section 338 tariffs introduced in August 2026 are also not expected to have a significant impact on our businesses. The 338 tariffs do not apply to products subject to 232 tariffs. The only products that would be subject to 338 tariffs within the group are Marketing Impact merchandising products made of plastic, however Marketing Impact sales of these products into the United States are not significant.

Decisive is also working with its subsidiaries to emphasize steps needed to enhance profitability in the current operating environment and will be communicating updates around these steps in future earnings releases.
