TORONTO, Oct. 1, 2026 /CNW/ -- Cupani Metals Corporation ("Cupani" or the "Company") (CSE: CUPA) (OTCQB: CUPIF) announces the first assay results from its summer drilling program at the Blue Lake Project, 65 kilometers from railhead in Schefferville, Quebec.

Figure 2: Section A-A’ showing holes drilled in 2026 and historic hole B-8 (not analysed).
Figure 3: Photograph of the 2.45 meters thick chalcopyrite-bearing massive sulphides, from 159.1 to 161.55 meters, in hole CUP26-010, within a thin sulphide bearing (blebs and disseminations) olivine pyroxenite. The massive sulphides show a sharp lower contact with evidence of xenomelts.
Figure 4: Close-up Photograph of the massive sulphides with chalcopyrite concentrated in1 to 3 mm bands. Center of photograph is at 159.7 meters in hole CUP26-010. The small black spots in the massive sulphides are magnetite; the pyrrhotite is not magnetic.
CUP26-10 (rush assays): 1.71% CuEq over 2.90 m (0.83% Cu, 0.62% Ni, 0.97 g/t PGE)
Including 1.86% CuEq over 2.40 m (0.83% Cu, 0.72% Ni, 1.05 g/t PGE).
CUP26-10 intersected 2.45 meters of massive magmatic sulphides at 159.1 meters.
Three of the six holes drilled this summer intersected massive magmatic sulphides at the base of mineralized ultramafic units and all holes intersected mineralized ultramafics.
All six holes were drilled more than one kilometer southeast of the Blue Lake 2 historical mineralization.
The newly drilled sulphide intersections, and their host rocks, are almost horizontal; they were intersected by vertical drilling over predictable geometry.
CEO Brian Bosse comments: "These results confirm good grade over good thickness at shallow depth, which is exactly what we were targeting. CUP26-10 lies approximately one kilometer from Blue Lake 2, a shallow historical zone of similar grade and orientation. This supports our interpretation of a single, continuous system that I believe extends considerably farther to the southeast. Blue Lake continues to demonstrate its potential and is expanding rapidly with every new hole."A total of six diamond drill holes has been completed this summer in the Blue Lake Southeast sector. Here is a description of the last three holes of the summer campaign (See press release of September 1 for description of holes CUP26-07, 08 and 09; and press release of June 3 for the six holes drilled during the winter program).
CUP26-10 was collared 244 m SE of CUP26-04 on the same magnetic trend, and 376 m NE of CUP26-06 and -07:
29.7 m of mineralized ultramafic with disseminated and net-textured sulphides
23.3 m of basalt
89 m of ultramafic with sulphides content increasing with depth
10 m of felsic pyroclastics
0.6 m of mineralized pyroxenite
2.45 m of magmatic massive sulphides
7.3 m of pyroxenite
11.7 m of Gabbro
CUP26-11 was collared on a magnetic anomaly about 550 m East of CUP26-10:
36.3 m of serpentinized peridotite, disseminated to locally net-textured sulphides.
13.0 m of pyroxenite, disseminated pyrrhotite, increasing toward the lower contact
43.1 m of sulphide-rich exhalite (chemical sediments)
54.0 m of mudrock
CUP26-12 drilled from CUP26-10 pad at azimuth 255° and dip -70° to test an EM plate from the recent borehole EM survey:
28.9 m of sulphide-bearing serpentinized peridotite.
23.9 m of basalt
74.1 m of peridotite with local disseminated pyrrhotite and minor chalcopyrite
5.9 m of olivine pyroxenite with pyrrhotite blebs, plus a 10 cm interval of up to 15% pyrrhotite at the lower contact
27.9 m of felsic ash tuff
10.3 m of barren serpentinized peridotite
29.0 m of felsic lapilli tuff
29.0 m of gabbro
This summer drilling campaign has successfully confirmed the effectiveness of Cupani's targeting strategy, with massive sulphide horizons intersected at the base of mineralized ultramafic units. The contacts of the sulphide zones are close to perpendicular to core axis in the vertical holes and should be considered close to true thickness. The massive sulphides are overlain by significantly thicker intervals of disseminated net-textured and blebby sulphides within the overlying ultramafic sequence. Analytical results for the mineralized ultramafics are still pending.
Samples from the best massive sulphides intervals in hole CUP26-10 were sent for rush analysis to ALS Global laboratory in Val d'Or. The rest of the assay results of the entire summer campaign are expected in October and will be reported in a subsequent news release.

Analytical procedures and QAQC
All samples were sent to ALS Global in Val d'Or for preparation, crushing and final analysis at their Vancouver Lab
Out of the 719 samples sent to the lab for analysis, 713 results are still pending. This press release covers only those samples sent as a rush order to the lab.
The core samples and QAQC samples (719 total) were analyzed with the following procedures: PGM-ICP23 for platinum (Pt), palladium (Pd) and gold (Au) consisting of fire assay with ICP-AES finish and the multielement package ME-ICP61a that includes 33 elements (Ag, Al, As, Ba, Be, Bi, Ca, Cd, Co, Cr, Cu, Fe, Ga, K, La, Mg, Mn, Mo, Na, Ni, P, Pb, S, Sb, Sc, Sr, Th, Ti, Tl, U, V, W, Zn). This method consists of a four-acid digestion with ICP-AES finish. Overlimit values of copper (>10,000 ppm) and sulfur (>10%) are automatically reanalyzed by the OG62 method with four acid digestion.

About CUPANI
CUPANI Metals Corp. provides shareholders with long-term capital growth exposure by investing in mineral exploration properties. The Company is listed on the CSE under the symbol "CUPA" and on OTCQB under the symbol "CUPIF".
Cupani's 100% owned Blue Lake copper nickel PGE project in Quebec covers 682 square kilometers of exploration claims (260 square miles).
