Media Advisory - The New Ontario - Quebec Economic Accord: Are businesses ready to seize the new opportunities?

MONTREAL, Nov. 30 /CNW Telbec/ - The historic Ontario and Quebec trade agreement came into effect last month to reduce regulatory and labour mobility barriers and boost the global competitiveness of the combined economic region. The agreement spans energy, transportation, public procurement, agriculture and food products, health, environment, education and the cultural sectors.

The Public Policy Forum is holding the second mini-conferences to look at how this agreement can benefit businesses and the overall economy of the two provinces. Quebec Minister of Economic Development, Innovation and Export Trade Clément Gignac will welcome Ontario Minister Sandra Pupatello, the Ontario Minister of Economic Development and Trade, who will give the keynote luncheon address. The first session was held in Toronto on October 30th at the Toronto Board of Trade where Mr. Clément Gignac delivered the keynote address.
