/R E P E A T -- Opening Night at Canada's First-Ever National Championship for Club Curlers/

TORONTO, Nov. 23 /CNW/ - Tomorrow night, The Dominion Curling Club Championship - Canada's first-ever national championship for club curlers - celebrates the launch of its inaugural event with an Opening Banquet at St. George's Golf & Country Club in Etobicoke. Each of Canada's provinces and territories is represented by both men's and women's teams, with tournament play beginning the next morning.

Tuesday night's program includes 1998 Olympic silver medalist Mike Harris, local MPP Donna Cansfield, Bill Adair of the Canadian Paraplegic Association (CPA) Ontario, and keynote speaker, world champion curler and Olympic hopeful Glenn Howard. The evening also includes the unveiling of the event mascot, "Buttons".

All profits from The Dominion Curling Club Championship will be donated to the CPA.
