The Fédération des chambres de commerce du Québec (FCCQ) invites Québec companies and chambers of commerce to participate in the Northern Lights 2010 business and cultural showcase

MONTREAL, Nov. 17 /CNW Telbec/ - Northern Lights 2010 is an important forum, trade show and cultural event that will bring together the governments and businesses of Nunavik, Nunavut, and Labrador/Nunatsiavut at the Palais des congrès de Montréal from January 27 to 30, 2010. This will be the event's second edition.

"With the government of Québec's Plan Nord and all of the riches to be found in northern Québec and northern Canada, our entrepreneurs will discover great business opportunities and an immense territory to develop. At a time when our companies must diversify their markets, the development of the north arrives just at the right moment, and Northern Lights 2010 is an excellent opportunity to discover this region of the country," commented Françoise Bertrand, President and CEO of the FCCQ.

The forum will deal with major issues such as natural resource development, Canadian sovereignty, and partnership development in the North. Nearly 200 companies, and some eighty artisans and performers, are expected at the trade fair.

Northern Lights 2010 is being organized jointly by the Baffin Regional Chamber of Commerce (BRCC) and the Labrador North Chamber of Commerce (LNCC). Both the FCCQ and Canadian Chamber of Commerce are partners in the event.
