lovers than Italians; we live longer than Swedes; and we eat better than the
French. Happy Canada Day!
    Maclean's magazine scoured census statistics, international opinion
surveys, think-tank reports, policy papers and consumer databases to uncover
the truth about Canada's place in the global order. And the numbers seem to
back up what we've always quietly believed in our patriotic hearts. We're
simply the best.

    Highlights

    -  Canada is the fourth hardest-working country in the world.

    -  Canadians have more sexual partners than Americans, the Spanish, the
       French, and the Italians. And we take our time, too.

    -  Despite our fast-paced lives and absence of Mediterranean diet, we
       live longer than Europeans - and Americans.

       Our rate of daily fruit and vegetable consumption is the third-highest
       in the world, behind only the Chinese and the Australians. And we eat
       less processed food than the French.

    -  When it comes to religious tolerance, rather than existing in distinct
       silos as they do in Europe, different religions in Canada tend to mix,
       resulting in less isolation and more tolerance and integration.

       question for Barack Obama and other world leaders, is what, if
       anything, can they do to influence which of these outcomes is more
