Quebecor fund reveals names of producers and programs to receive funding

    Over 40 million dollars granted to over 100 projects since 2000

    MONTREAL, June 9 /CNW Telbec/ - Following April 1, 2009 submissions,
Quebecor Fund's Board of Directors is proud to announce the names of six
producers that will obtain grants from the 18th round of financing of its Main
Production Assistance Program. The selected producers will receive aid
totaling $2,415,743. They are: Aetios Productions Inc., Avanti Ciné Vidéo,
Fiction Yamaska Inc./Duo Productions Inc., Productions Pixcom Inc., Sovitel
Inc. and TVA Productions Inc.
    Since its creation in 2000, Quebecor Fund has contributed to 103 projects
totaling over 40 million dollars and involving 48 producers, 26 Canadian
broadcasters and eight foreign broadcasters.
    A significant support for television and new media content, Quebecor Fund
is an independent fund whose mission is to support the production of
multidimensional projects, meaning shows that offer quality content and have
an undeniable durability, as well as interactive multimedia products that use
information and communication technology, particularly multiple platforms like
interactive television (ITV), video on demand (VOD) and/or mobile terminals
and high-speed Internet access.
    Quebecor Fund is a vital source of financing in a digital age requiring
Canadian content to be broadcast on several platforms, the development of
distinctive interactive content and the enrichment of conventional television.
    Quebecor Fund was created thanks to Videotron Ltd., which provides
annually over $4.6 million as broadcasting distribution undertaking (BDU)
contributions to the Canadian industry.

    RECIPIENTS :

    Aetios Productions inc.

      - Trauma - Broadcaster: Société Radio-Canada

    The television series Trauma gives viewers an insider's perspective on
traumatology allowing them to understand the motivations of doctors that work
in this medical field. Through its website, interactive television and mobile
telephone offer, Trauma's interactive component provides exclusive content for
fans of the series. Moreover, this component advises and informs users on
first aid measures in the event of serious accidents.

    Avanti Ciné Vidéo

      - La Joute - Broadcaster: Télé-Québec

    La Joute is a debate program hosted by Stéphan Bureau. Each week, three
star debaters affront one another in verbal jousting on four current events
topics. The public chooses the winner by voting over the telephone or by
Internet. The interactive component is made up of the webcast program La Joute
Junior and content available on the program's website. The ITV application
provides the vote and exclusive content on Illico. The 3 Grandes Finales
(2009-2010) programs are available to Illico subscribers on VOD.

    Fiction Yamaska Inc./Duo Productions inc.

      - Yamaska - Broadcaster: TVA

    Written by Michel d'Astous and Anne Boyer, Yamaska follows the ups and
downs of three very different families that will have to cope with the tragic
death of a loved one. It is a modern and stimulating drama about love, male
friendships and psychological resilience. The interactive component includes a
role-playing game of mystery and intrigue where players seek clues in virtual
spaces, receive phone calls and e-mails from the characters of the series as
well as discover many smaller games designed for casual gamers and a Well of
Secrets where players may share their secrets with other users.

    Productions Pixcom inc.

      - Le Cercle 2009 - Broadcaster: TVA

    Le Cercle is a smash hit in Quebec and boasts one million faithful
viewers. A fast-paced quiz show that challenges participants' cultural
knowledge, memory and quick-wittedness, it innovates on all platforms! An
iPhone/iTouch application offers multiplayer games for fans on the move.
Viewers can also challenge their friends on Facebook and even play games
against other members of the Illico community from the comfort of their own
homes.

    Sovitel inc.

      - Musée Eden - Broadcaster: Société Radio-Canada

    Part thriller, part historical saga, the Musée Eden drama series is set in
the Montreal of 1910. It follows the adventures of two sisters caught up in a
series of mysterious murders and famous crimes that are reproduced in the
museum they recently inherited. The interactive component unites games,
detective narratives and historical documents, all of which are broadcast on a
wide-range of platforms (television, Web, VOD, cellular telephony, ITV, etc.)

    TVA Productions Inc.

      - Occupation Double - Broadcaster: TVA

    The Occupation Double show allows participants to travel the world over
and to take part in several exclusive activities, all in a seductive
atmosphere. The new media component offers content on the following platforms:
the web, ITV-VOD and mobile telephony. A travel section on the website will
provide the itineraries followed by participants during the series.

    QUEBECOR FUND

    Quebecor Fund is a non-profit organization that was incorporated according
to Part 2 of the Canada Corporations Act. The Board of Directors is
responsible for all decisions pertaining to the Fund, including its direction,
and is entirely and exclusively liable for its financial decisions. The next
