MONTRÉAL, July 26, 2018 /CNW/ - Much Studios announced today from the Just For Laughs Festival in Montréal that it has partnered with longtime Much Studios creators Jae and Trey Richards of 4YE to produce an eight-part comedy web series, JUDGE TYCO. The series is based on 4YE's popular recurring character Tyco, best known for the "T-Dot Goon Scrap DVD" skits. 4YE's wildly successful follow up video "T-Dot Goon Scrap DVD 2" featured a cameo by Drake, and currently has more than 1.3 million views on YouTube.
JUDGE TYCO takes place in a courtroom where Tyco, based on his reputation of being one of Toronto's top goons, has been appointed as judge. Totally unqualified, Judge Tyco, presides over the trivial cases of teenagers.
"Much Studios has been super supportive to us over the years, and we couldn't think of a better team to partner with," said Jae and Trey Richards of 4YE. "They support our ideas no matter how wild and we're very excited to bring this series to life."
"We love working with our longtime Much Studios collaborators, 4YE – they are creative, funny, and focused," said Justin Stockman, Vice-President, Pay and OTT Services, Bell Media. "After laughing over Tyco's antics for ages, we're thrilled to work with Jae and Trey to take him to the next level in JUDGE TYCO."
4YE, formally 4Yall Entertainment, are brothers Jae and Trey Richards. For more than seven years, the Brampton-born, Toronto-based comedy duo have been creating stand-out content, amassing a loyal audience of more than 1 million YouTube subscribers and more than 90 million lifetime views, and garnering praise from A-list entertainers including Kevin Hart and Drake. Since joining with Much Studios in 2015, 4YE's have increased their average audience growth more than five times, and have each gained more than 100k followers on Instagram.
