Media advisory - NSSBA to host 2009 CSBA Congress on Education
DARTMOUTH, NS, July 3 /CNW/ - Class of 2020: Vision for the Future is the
theme of the 2009 Canadian School Boards Association (CSBA) Congress on
Education. Hosted by the Nova Scotia School Boards Association (NSSBA), the
event will take place July 9-11 at the World Trade and Convention Centre
(WTCC) in Halifax. Over 400 school board members and administrators from
across Canada will attend the informative three-day event that includes guest
speakers and partnership sessions.
Class of 2020: Vision for the Future will examine the ever changing face
of public education and ask critical questions about education in the 21st
century. The event will feature an exciting lineup of speakers and presenters
including Tod Maffin, social media strategist and futurist; Candy Palmater,
lawyer, political activist, facilitator and comic; Pete Luckett, brainchild of
the extremely successful grocery chain Pete's Frootique and Charles MacDonald,
retired educator and businessman.
The NSSBA is the provincial voice for school boards.
