Media Advisory - Human Rights Commission to release Report on rental housing
TORONTO, July 7 /CNW/ - On Tuesday, July 8, 2008, from 9:30 - 11:30 am,
the Ontario Human Rights Commission will launch its first ever consultation
report on housing called Right at Home: Report on the consultation on human
rights and rental housing. The report summarizes feedback provided during the
Commission's summer and fall 2007 consultation on human rights and rental
housing. Chief Commissioner Barbara Hall will speak about recommendations to:
Provincial and federal governments, landlord and tenant organizations, social
and other housing providers, municipalities, developers and others. Ms. Hall
will also set out the Commission's commitments and next steps for follow
through on the Report.
