Power Outage - City of Toronto responding
TORONTO, Jan. 16 /CNW/ - The City of Toronto is responding to a power
outage in the Bloor and Dufferin area.
Approximate boundaries of the outage are St. Clair to Queen Street, Jane
Street to Spadina Avenue.
The outage affects approximately 22,000 hydro customers.
The power outage was caused by water main break and Toronto Hydro is
working on restoring power.
A news release will be issued to confirm when power will be restored.
TTC confirms that the Bloor Danforth line between St. George and
Islington stations is closed as a result of the outage and shuttle buses are
in place until approximately 1:30 a.m. when the blue night all-night buses
will begin service. Further information from TTC will follow early in the
morning as to whether or not subway service will resume in the morning on that
stretch of subway.
