TORONTO, April 25, 2013 /CNW/ - Over 600 Grade 9 students are expected to converge at OISE on April 29th, 2013 for VolunTeen 2013.
VolunTeen 2013: Igniting the Power of Youth to ChangeTheWorld is an action-based youth volunteering event for students to expand their knowledge of and access to meaningful volunteer opportunities in Toronto. VolunTeen 2013 is a joint initiative of Volunteer Toronto, Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE), For Youth Initiative, CivicAction and Toronto Catholic District School Board, and is a part of ChangeTheWorld: Ontario Youth Volunteer Challenge (CTW).

About ChangeTheWorld: Ontario Youth Volunteer Challenge
Funded by the Government of Ontario, and run in partnership with the Ontario Volunteer Centre Network (OVCN) and Volunteer Centres across Ontario, is a four-week campaign with one goal: get high school students to volunteer in their community.
