    MONTREAL, April 2 /CNW Telbec/ - Mr. Charest was appointed President and
Chief Executive Officer in 2000 and has been part of Industrial Alliance since
more than 25 years.
    Most recently, Mr. Charest was awarded, for a second time, Personnalité
financière de l'année 2008 of the 9th edition of the Top 25 Québec Financial
Industry Gala.
    Within the Industrial Alliance Group, Mr. Charest serves on the Boards of
Directors of Industrial Alliance Pacific Insurance and Financial Services, and
Industrial Alliance Auto and Home Insurance. He is also a member of the Board
of MD Life.
