GO Transit weekend service during TTC strike
TORONTO, April 26, 2008 /CNW/ - This weekend, if the public needs to get
to downtown Toronto by transit, regular GO Train service is running along the
Lakeshore lines. Service runs hourly and most stations have parking, which
will be able to accommodate extra weekend riders.
GO is adding buses to supplement regular GO Bus services to accommodate
as many extra customers as possible.
Schedule information can be found on gotransit.com or by calling GO
Transit's call centre at 416.869.3200 or 1.888 GET ON GO (438.6646). Customers
at Union Station and Union Station GO Bus Terminal can also speak to a GO
customer service representative for more information.
As there will be more people riding GO, customers should get to their
station early to buy tickets. Customers should also buy multi-ride tickets in
advance to avoid ticketing line-ups every time they ride.
GO Transit will continue to provide the best possible service to its
regular customers and TTC customers during the strike. GO will update
customers immediately through regular communications channels such as the
website, E-News, and the media.
