VANOC to announce creation of Vancouver 2010 Terry Fox Award on Friday,
December 11

OTTAWA, Dec. 10 /CNW/ - The Vancouver Organizing Committee for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games (VANOC) will announce the creation of a new athletic award named in honour of a great Canadian hero, Terry Fox, at an event in Ottawa, ON, on Friday, December 11.

The award will be presented to a deserving Olympian exemplifying courage, perseverance and humility during the Games at a public ceremony in late February 2010 in downtown Vancouver.
