The Commission unveils its calendar for final hearings stretch Français

VAL-D'OR, QC, July 31, 2018 /CNW Telbec/ - Commissioner Jacques Viens and the Public Inquiry Commission on relations between Indigenous Peoples and certain public services in Québec: listening, reconciliation and progress team are set to undertake their final hearings stretch this fall.
As already mentioned by Commissioner Jacques Viens, CERP's hearings are set to end in December. Still, there is a lot of work ahead. Many more witnesses will be heard.
A fourth, then a fifth official hearing block outside of Val-d'Or
While it's already been stated that the Commission hearings will be held in Quebec City in September, it has been determined that the November hearings are set to be in Nunavik. Both Kuujjuaraapik and Kuujjuaq will host public hearings.
Here is how the schedule will undergo:

Week 36: November 19-23, 2018
Val-d'Or Conservatory of Music and Drama
Week 37: December 3-7, 2018
Week 38: December 10-14, 2018
These last 12 weeks of hearings will mark the end of the public hearings. During these weeks, many more personal stories will be brought forward. Different actors from the six public services, Indigenous leaders and experts will also appear before Commissioner Viens.
Once the public hearings are over, the Commission will pursue the writing of the final report. This report will be delivered in September 2019.
