OTTAWA, Jan. 8, 2016 /CNW/ - Minister of Finance Bill Morneau will be in Halifax for pre-budget consultations on Monday, January 11, 2016.

Minister Morneau will be the guest speaker at a luncheon hosted by the Halifax Chamber of Commerce. The Minister is scheduled to speak at approximately 1:00 p.m. in Commonwealth Room A of the Westin Nova Scotian hotel, 1181 Hollis Street, in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
A media availability will take place at approximately 2:30 p.m. in room 3001 of the Kenneth C. Rowe Management Building, 6100 University Avenue, in Halifax.
Minister Morneau will then hold a town hall meeting with students at Dalhousie University during a Facebook Live event, at 3:00 p.m. in room 1020 of the Kenneth C. Rowe Management Building. The town hall is open to media and the live stream is available at https://facebook.com/YourMoneyMattersCanada .
Minister Morneau will also hold roundtables with small and medium-sized local business leaders and representatives of CARP.
