VANCOUVER, Sept. 30, 2015 /CNW/ - Representatives from the Metro Vancouver Alliance's over 50 member organizations will make presentations on four issues - social inclusion, transit, income justice, and affordable housing - to candidates in the upcoming federal election and ask for a response and a commitment to work with MVA to make Metro Vancouver a better place for all.
At MVA's Municipal Election Accountability Assembly on October 19, 2014, MVA's member organizations received commitments from local politicians, including Vancouver Mayor Gregor Robertson, on a civic agenda. At the Federal Election Assembly MVA member organizations will be asking candidates in the Vancouver Granville riding to support these initiatives at the federal level.
Date: Wednesday, September 30
Time: 7PM to 9PM
Location: Langara College, 100 W 49th Ave, Lecture Hall A130, Vancouver
