Keith Ambachtsheer Celebrated at Toronto Reception

TORONTO, June 6, 2011 /CNW/ - CFA Institute will honour Keith Ambachtsheer with its Award for Professional Excellence at a special reception following Toronto CFA Society's Annual Pension Conference, this evening.

The Award for Professional Excellence is presented periodically to a member of the investment profession whose exemplary achievement, excellence of practice, and true leadership have inspired and reflected honor upon the investment profession to the highest degree. Previous recipients include David Swensen, Martin Leibowitz, Jack Bogle, Charles D. Ellis, CFA, Warren Buffett, and Sir John Marks Templeton, CFA.

Keith Ambachtsheer is Director of the Rotman International Centre for Pension Management, an Adjunct Professor of Finance at the Rotman School of Management, and publisher and editor of the Rotman International Journal of Pension Management. His firm, KPA Advisory Services Ltd, provides strategic advice on governance, finance, and investment matters to governments, industry associations, pension-plan sponsors, foundations, and other institutional investors around the world since 1985.  He is also a co-founder of CEM Benchmarking Inc. which monitors the performance of 350 pension plans around the world. The author of three books on pension management, he has received industry excellence awards in Europe, the USA, and Canada.
