Technology Industry Veteran Barbara Gordon Joins Apptio as First Chief Customer Officer, World-Wide Sales Leader Larry Blasko Promoted to Chief Revenue Officer
SEATTLE, July 25, 2016 /CNW/ -- Apptio, the leading provider of cloud-based Technology Business Management (TBM) software, today announced the expansion of the company's leadership team with the addition of Barbara Gordon as chief customer officer and the promotion of Larry Blasko to chief revenue officer. Both Gordon and Blasko will be part of the company's executive leadership team and report directly to Apptio CEO, Sunny Gupta.
Gordon joins Apptio as chief customer officer, responsible for the company's more than 300 customers, including 40 percent of the Fortune 100, government agencies and enterprises across North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific. She brings a unique background with 25 years leading sales organizations and running the worldwide customer support organization for Microsoft as well as bringing customer success focus as the chief operations officer for the Isilon division of EMC. In her role, Gordon will work with enterprises to ensure Apptio is the business system of record for IT. She will work closely with the company's field and product teams to be the voice of the customer in everything that Apptio does by bringing customer success further upstream into the sales and product development processes.
As Apptio's Chief Revenue Officer, Larry Blasko is responsible for driving revenue generation, channel strategy and sales excellence for the company. Blasko brings more than 20 years of experience building and leading high performance sales teams in the enterprise software industry. Blasko joined Apptio in 2009 as vice president of sales and has played an instrumental role scaling the organization while bringing Apptio to a broad set of customers across the Global 10,000. Prior to joining Apptio, he was a vice president of sales for HP Software and senior vice president of sales for Opsware (now part of HP). Larry also spent more than six years in various sales leadership roles at Veritas Software, contributing to their rapid ascent and eventual acquisition by Symantec.
