Goldsky Resources commences its first major drilling program at Barsele

VANCOUVER, BC, Sept. 22, 2026 /CNW/ -- Goldsky Resources Corp (TSXV: GSKR) (FNSE: GSKR SDB) (OTCQX: GSKRF) (FRA: HEG0) ("Goldsky Resources" or the "Company") is pleased to announce the commencement of a 25,000-meter diamond drill program at its 100%-owned Barsele Gold Project in Sweden. The campaign represents the Company's inaugural drilling program since consolidating 100% ownership of the project from Agnico Eagle Mines Limited ("Agnico Eagle").

• First large-scale drilling program at Barsele: a 25,000-meter campaign aimed at upgrading and extending the Mineral Resource at the Barsele deposit
• Drilling will focus on Skiråsen, Central and Avan zones, where the existing Mineral Resource remains open both along strike and at depth
• Comadev has been awarded contracts for two drill rigs: Rig 1 commenced drilling on September 16, 2026 and Rig 2 mobilizing by end September
• Arctic Drilling Company (ADC) has been awarded a contract for a third rig, mobilizing for an October 2026 start
• This marks Goldsky's first drilling program at Barsele since the transaction for 100% ownership which closed in June.

The 2026 Barsele drill program

The program comprises approximately 25,000 meters of diamond drilling, combining shallow drilling targeting mineralization to a vertical depth of 270 m below surface with a deeper drill hole program planned to reach vertical depths of 720 m to 1,050 m below surface to test depth extensions. The program has been designed to upgrade Inferred Mineral Resources to the Indicated category and test extensions to the existing Barsele deposit which is currently open along strike and at depth. The evaluation of regional targets across the Company's broader license package will be designed and announced in coming weeks.

Drilling will focus on Skiråsen, Central and Avan zones, where the existing Mineral Resource remains open both along strike and at depth. The use of oriented diamond core will improve the Company's understanding of the structural and lithological controls on high grade gold mineralization and is expected to support an updated Mineral Resource estimate in 2027.

History of the Barsele Gold Project

Exploration at Barsele has been ongoing for more than a decade. Between 2015 and 2025, Agnico Eagle operated the project through a joint venture with Barsele Minerals Corp., completing approximately 174,500 meters of drilling in 453 holes across the Avan, Central and Skiråsen zones. This work established the current Mineral Resource published in a 43-101 report titled 43-101 Technical report and mineral resource estimate for the Barsele project in April 2019 by InnovExplo Inc., which is currently being validated by Norda Stelo based in Quebec and updated with new information and modifying factors.

Following Goldsky Resource's acquisition of Agnico Eagle's 55% interest, the Company now owns 100% of the Barsele Gold Project, with Agnico Eagle remaining a significant shareholder. The 2026 drill program is the first to be undertaken under The Company's sole ownership and represents the next phase of resource growth and project development.
