ROSELAND, N.J. and TORONTO, Sept. 3, 2026 /CNW/ -- Base pay for job-stayers in Canada increased 3.0% year-over-year in August; pay for job-changers rose 5.6%, according to the August ADP Canada Pay Insights produced by ADP Research.
Gross pay for job-stayers increased 4.4%. Gross pay for job-changers increased 9.6%.
Drawing on the anonymized payroll transaction data of approximately 1.6 million Canadian workers each month, ADP Canada Pay Insights provides a robust measure of pay trends for job-stayers and job-changers working in Canada's private sector. Using a unique matched sample to track individual workers over a 12-month period, the report also offers a view of wage trends by sector, firm size, and province and territory.
