TD Asset Management Inc. Announces Changes to the TD Exchange-Traded Funds

TORONTO, Sept. 19, 2018 /CNW/ - TD Asset Management Inc. ("TDAM"), the manager of the TD Exchange-Traded Funds (individually a "TD ETF", and collectively, the "TD ETFs"), today announced changes to the underlying indices of, and certain other changes to, the TD ETFs. All of the changes described below will be effective on or about November 20, 2018. TDAM will provide at least 30 days' prior written notice regarding the applicable changes, to unitholders of record as of September 28^th, 2018 of each TD ETF.

Index changes

TDAM is changing the underlying index of each TD ETF from an index provided by S&P Opco, LLC, a subsidiary of S&P Dow Jones Indices LLC ("S&P") to an index provided by Solactive AG ("Solactive").

The table below sets out the name of the current and new underlying index.  Information about the Solactive indices are available at solactive.com.

Name changes of certain TD ETFs

As a result of the change in the underlying index, the names of three TD ETFs are also changing, as set out in the table below:

Lower management fees on select TD ETFs

TDAM will lower the management fee on select TD ETFs as set out in the table below:

The changes to the underlying indices described above align with the current investment objectives and strategies of each TD ETF and will provide investors with substantially the same exposure to the asset classes, sectors and/or geographic regions to which each TD ETF is currently exposed. There will be no changes to the distribution policy or risk rating of each TD ETF.

An amendment to the offering documents of the TD ETFs will be filed with the Canadian securities regulatory authorities on or about September 20, 2018.
