NEI Investments introduces new cost-efficient portfolios for Canadians combining Vanguard ETFs with active fixed income management
FrançaisTORONTO, Oct. 13, 2026 /CNW/ -- NEI Investments today announced a product collaboration with Vanguard Investments Canada Inc. The collaboration reflects a shared commitment to helping advisors deliver high-quality, professionally managed portfolios to more Canadians.
The collaboration combines Vanguard's industry leading lineup of ETFs with NEI's asset allocation and portfolio management capabilities to support low-cost and professionally managed investment solutions.
The first result to emerge from this initiative is NEI ETF Portfolios, a suite of three all-in-one portfolios spanning the risk-return spectrum. These low-cost ETF portfolios combine Vanguard equity ETFs with NEI's actively managed fixed income strategies in a professionally managed one-stop solution. The three NEI ETF Portfolios--NEI Conservative Income ETF Portfolio, NEI Balanced ETF Portfolio, and NEI Growth ETF Portfolio--are managed by NEI's Asset Allocation team, which is responsible for strategic asset allocation, rebalancing and ongoing portfolio oversight.
"We are pleased to collaborate with Vanguard on this. They have a well-earned reputation as one of the most trusted names in ETF investing," said Tim Prescott, Senior Vice-President and Head of Asset Management, NEI Investments. "Built on shared values and a common purpose, this collaboration is focused on helping more Canadians access high-quality, low-cost, professionally managed investment solutions."
As one of the world's largest ETF providers, Vanguard provides investment expertise and scale that supports broad global diversification. NEI brings active fixed income expertise, together with a manager-of-managers approach that provides access to world class institutional-calibre investment talent. These combined strengths offer financial advisors a professionally managed and low-cost solution that pairs broad market exposure with active fixed income management.
"Our goal is to provide enduring high-quality investment solutions to Canadians at a low-cost," said Sal D'Angelo, Head of Vanguard Canada. "That is why we are pleased to collaborate with NEI Investments on a solution that combines broad diversification and professional oversight to support long-term investment success for investors and financial advisors."
NEI Investments also launched today the NEI Global Short-Term Bond Fund, sub-advised by Amundi Asset Management and designed for investors seeking steady income with lower interest-rate risk.
The Fund aims to deliver higher yield potential than cash while taking less interest-rate risk than longer-term bond funds. It invests globally in shorter-term, liquid, high-quality bonds. The Fund draws on the fixed income expertise of Amundi, sub-advisor to the long-standing NEI Global Total Return Bond Fund.
