Media Advisory/Photo Opportunity - Paralympic gold medallist to lay wreath at Ottawa Remembrance Day Ceremony

OTTAWA, Nov. 8, 2013 /CNW/ - On Monday November 11, 2013, Paralympic gold medallist and local Sochi hopeful Marc Dorion (Bourget, Ont.) will participate in Ottawa's Remembrance Day ceremony.

Dorion, a member of Canada's National Sledge Hockey Team, will lay a wreath to honor Canada's war veterans on behalf of Canadian Paralympic athletes.

Dorion and the team won a gold medal at the 2006 Paralympic Games in Torino, Italy. This year, they won gold at the 2013 International Paralympic Committee Sledge Hockey World Championship in Goyang, Korea in April, as well as gold at the Four Nations Tournament in Sochi, Russia in September.
