Samsung Canada takes Their Passion for Photography to New Heights
Samsung NX20 captures and shares Toronto's skyline from the basket of a hot air balloon
TORONTO, May 24, 2012 /CNW/ - Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., a global leader in digital media and digital convergence technologies, is reaching new heights with the launch of its line of NX series compact system cameras (CSC). To celebrate, Samsung Canada today soared high above the Gardiner Expressway to capture the Toronto skyline from a whole new perspective, in a hot air balloon hovering above Historic Fort York.
Today's event marked the Canadian availability of the NX20, a camera that offers photo enthusiasts a highly portable, lightweight device that has the look and feel of a DSLR but at a fraction of the size and weight. Samsung Canada is hosting a second hot air balloon event for the public at the 'Exposure' Photo & Video Imaging Expo, taking place at the International Centre in Mississauga on Saturday, May 26th. Consumers will be invited to experience the hot air balloon for themselves, and take and share photos of their surroundings from a unique perspective.

The NX20 camera is Samsung's newest Wi-Fi Smart Camera, with built-in Wi-Fi connectivity that allow users to easily shoot, store and share their favourite photos from wherever they are, whatever passion they are pursuing. Packed with a high resolution DSLR sized sensor for excellent image quality, Full HD Video Recording, and High Speed Capture, the NX20 is joined by the NX1000 and NX210 to round out the NX series.
Consumers are invited to come down to the 'Exposure' Photo & Video Imaging Expo at the International Centre in Mississauga this weekend for the opportunity to ride in a hot air balloon and take stunning photos of their surroundings with the Samsung NX20. The event will run on Saturday, May 26th from 10:00 a.m. to 6 p.m., weather permitting. A rain date is set for Sunday, May 27th. Visitors to the Samsung booth will also have the chance to win one of three Samsung NX20 cameras.
Those passionate about capturing life's little moments are also encouraged to enter Samsung Canada's Facebook contest and share their moment for the chance to win a Samsung Smart Camera with Wi-Fi capability.
