Media Advisory - CAPP to release natural gas hydraulic fracturing operating practices

CALGARY, Jan. 25, 2012 /CNW/ - Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers (CAPP) President Dave Collyer will announce the Canadian natural gas industry's operating practices for hydraulic fracturing on January 30, 2012 during his speech at the Oil & Gas Water Management Strategies conference in Calgary.

The Canadian natural gas industry's hydraulic fracturing operating practices outline the practical application of the industry's guiding principles for hydraulic fracturing, which CAPP released in September 2011.

In addition to announcing the Canadian industry's hydraulic fracturing operating practices, Mr. Collyer will discuss the Canadian industry's overall progress in reporting, measuring and improving water performance, with particular focus on the new technologies and best practices in place which have measureable improved environmental performance, particularly water use.

Mr. Collyer will be available to the media after his presentation.
