TORONTO, May 25 /CNW/ - On Sunday, October 4, Canadians across the
country will walk and run in the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run
for the Cure to support a cause that connects us all. This year, you can help
choose the t-shirt designs to be worn by 170,000 Run participants and
survivors in 55 communities across Canada.
"Giving our supporters the chance to vote for the t-shirts worn by
thousands on October 4, is one of the ways that the Run continues to be a
grassroots, volunteer-led event. The outstanding reception this poll garners
is testament to the strong connection Canadians feel towards this event and
the breast cancer cause," says Joanne Simons, Director, Fundraising Events at
the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.
Vote for your favourite Run participant and pink survivor t-shirt designs
online at www.cbcf.org/tshirt today! Voting closes at midnight on June 8,
2009. The Foundation has asked Canadians for their help in choosing the annual
Run t-shirt designs for the past several years. Last year, 11,000 supporters
cast their vote online for the most inspirational designs.
Remember to register for this year's Run and become part of an event that
makes a difference in the lives of those affected by breast cancer.
