XM Canada announces stellar line-up for second annual The Verge Music Awards

    With the awards quickly approaching, Canadian music lovers have two weeks
    left to vote for their favourite bands

    TORONTO, Aug. 17 /CNW/ - Following on the heels of last year's successful
show, this year XM Canada's (TSX:XSR) The Verge Music Awards are back bigger
and better than ever. Along with the two prestigious awards being handed out -
Album of the Year and Artist of the Year, each accompanied by a $25,000 cheque
- this will be a night truly dedicated to celebrating top Canadian talent.

musical talent pool for The Verge Music Awards Album of the Year and Artist of
the Year.

to attend The Verge Music Awards this year.
    This year's show will be held at The Mod Club on September 22nd, 2009
where guests will also be treated to performances by top Canadian bands
Metric, The Weakerthans (last year's Artist of the Year winner) and Hey
Rosetta! (last year's Album of the Year winner). The show will also be
broadcast live-to-air to music fans across Canada on XM Canada's The Verge,
