Worried about attack on public health care, health coalitions launch public ribbon campaign

    Torontonians decorate homes in support of public health care hoping to
    inspire others to show their support for medicare

    TORONTO, Sept. 24 /CNW/ - Worried about attack on public health care, a
new ribbon campaign to support medicare is being launched. Houses around
Toronto are getting an election make-over as people decorate their homes in
support of medicare with ribbons declaring "Vote Medicare! Health care for
people not profit" produced by the Ontario Health Coalition. The campaign
kicks off on Monday, September 24th around Toronto.
    "We are asking people to join us in this campaign to send a message
supporting medicare to all political parties," says Caroline Eagan of the
Toronto Health Coalition. "We are a non-partisan group. This is an issue that
affects absolutely everybody. Health care must be a key issue in the
