World's Largest Hotel Chain Rescues New Yorker

Best Western International Answers Staten Islander's S.O.S. for the Trip
of a Lifetime

PHOENIX, November 8 /CNW/ - Best Western International has answered Jack
Paccione, Jr.'s plea for a dream vacation. The Staten Island, N.Y., resident
is the grand prize winner of its Vacation S.O.S. online video contest, the
World's Largest Hotel Chain(R) announced today.

Best Western will send Paccione and three of his friends or family
members on a seven-day vacation anywhere in North America. He will receive a
video camera to record this dream vacation, along with a one-year membership
to AAA and $1,000 in spending money.

"To have Best Western answer my vacation S.O.S. is a dream come true,"
said Paccione. "My friends and I have pretty stressful jobs, so we are truly
going to enjoy this vacation. The hardest part is deciding where to go!"

Best Western launched the Vacation S.O.S. contest in May, asking weary
and frazzled Americans and Canadians to submit an online video showing why
they were in desperate need of a vacation. In August, the top 25 video
submissions were showcased on, where visitors voted for the
top ten finalists. A panel of judges chosen by Best Western International
selected Paccione's video based on its creativity, humor and quality.

Paccione's video illustrates a day in his life: being caught in traffic
on the way to work, attempting to enjoy an unappetizing lunch in the
sweltering heat and getting knocked unconscious by a piece of falling
construction equipment. During his state of unconsciousness, Paccione dreams
of riding a roller coaster, enjoying a delicious meal, lying on the beach and
swimming in the ocean.

"Best Western is the top hotel choice for leisure travelers across the
globe, so we know what it takes to make a great vacation. We are thrilled to
give Mr. Paccione the trip of his dreams at one of our 2,400 hotels in North
America," said Dorothy Dowling, senior vice president of marketing and sales
for Best Western International.

Nine Vacation S.O.S. runners-up will receive a $250 Best Western Travel
Card, which can be used to pay for accommodations and related incidentals at
nearly 4,200 Best Western hotels worldwide.
