Workopolis to reveal new research findings showing growing support for a National Work From Home Day

TORONTO, May 24, 2011 /CNW/ - Curious to know how much CO2 could be saved if one million Canadians worked from home for just one day? What about the fuel savings if we didn't have to commute? Or the energy savings? Check out our series of infographics here:

What:  To mark the one week countdown before Canada's Unofficial Work From Home Day on June 1, Workopolis will be revealing the results of a new survey tomorrow showing overwhelming support for the campaign which first got the attention of Parliament last November.
Given all the benefits associated with teleworking, nine in ten (88 per cent) of Canadian workers agree there should be government support for a nationally recognized day.  And over 73,000 Canadians have voiced their support for the movement on the Facebook page.
Who:  Gabriel Bouchard, President, Workopolis
Peter Harris, Founder of Work from Home Day, Workopolis
Available to speak about:
○ Why Workopolis is supporting a National Work from Home Day
○ The benefits of working from home for all involved
○ How workers can talk with their employer about working from home on June 1st
○ Tips for working from home - guidelines for employees and employers
When:  Interviews available May 24 - 27 and June 1 when a majority of the Workopolis staff will be working from home
